When conducting the research that lies behind the writing of
this book, and during its substantive writing, Paul Weller was part-time
Research Fellow in Religion and Society and Associate Director (UK) of
the Oxford Centre for Religion and Culture, Regent’s Park College, a
Baptist Permanent Private Hall of the University of Oxford, where he is an
Associate Member of the Faculty of Theology and Religion. He retired
from his employed Research Fellowship at the end of November 2021,
and from 1st December, his research fellowship became a non-Stipendiary
one. He is also Emeritus Professor of the University of Derby and a
Visiting Professor in the Research Institute for Peace, Security, and Social
Justice of Coventry University
