An attempt to analyse the course of the Great War in the Łódź region based on
the information drawn from archival materials of the War Losses Assessment Committees.
This information is a good reflection of the impact of the War on all aspects of local community life.
The State Archive in Łódź preserves two archival fonds that are potentially excellent material for extensive research of the history of Łódź and its region during
the Great War.
