Simulation Modeling as a Policy Tool

This chapter describes the use of the agent-based model as a scenario tool to aid policymakers
anticipate effects of policy intervention. The text frames policy as a complex system and presents
the concept, advantages and limitations of ABM as a tool. We present a few applications of ABM
for policy that were useful.
