Comment Share
VOLLMER, Sebastian

This book contributes to the empirical literature on economic and human development from five different perspectives: the first chapter provides a new statistical test for bimodality of densities with an application to income data. JARVIS, Jan-Philip

In this work we present a stand-off, long wave infrared (LWIR) spectroscopy system for remote detection of hazardous substances. The principle is based upon wavelength selective illumination using External Cavity Quantum Cascade Lasers, that are tunable in the LWIR wavelength range from 7.5 - 10 µm, in which most chemical substances exhibit a highly characteristic absorption behaviour.

Majtenyi, BalazsMajtényi, György

This book illustrates the history of the Gypsy/Roma issue in the wider context of Hungarian national history, relying on state policy documents. The volume questions dominant discourse on the Roma and critically examines earlier knowledge of the Roma in Hungary. The authors track events and narratives from the historical turning point of 1945 to the present. The effects of continuities in polic…

Administrating Kinship: Marriage Impediments and Dispensation Policies in the…
Comment Share

Abstract From the late eighteenth century, more and more men and women wanted to marry their cousins or in-laws. In this case, bridal couples had to apply for a papal dispensation and this meant a hurdled, lengthy and also expensive procedure. This book shows that applicants in four dioceses – Brixen, Chur, Salzburg and Trent – took very different paths through the thicket of bureaucracy t…

Administering Justice
Comment Share

Adjective Adverb Interfaces in Romance

Abstract "This book is the first typological study of adjective attribution marking. Its focus lies on Northern Eurasia, although it covers many more languages and presents an ontology of morphosyntactic categories relevant to noun phrase structure in general. Adipose-Derived Stromal/Stem Cells
Comment Share

Abstract Adipose tissue is a rich, ubiquitous, and easily accessible source for multipotent mesenchymal stromal/stem cells (MSCs), so-called adipose-derived stromal/stem cells (ASCs). Primary isolated ASCs are a heterogeneous preparation consisting of several subpopulations of stromal/stem and precursor cells. Donor-specific differences in ASC isolations and the lack of culture standardization…
